XV Culiacán International Guitar Competition 2022

To be held Online 9^th, 10^th and March 11^th 2022, during the

XXII Sinaloa International Guitar Festival 2022

Call for entries:

Participation is open to all guitarists, regardless of age or nationality who:

• Have not won any edition of the Culiacan International Guitar Competition,
• Have paid the registration fee of $50.00 USD.

Prizes

First prize:

• MXN 30,000 (Thirty thousand Mexican pesos)
• Concerto participation with Sinaloa de las Artes Orchestra during festival 2022
• CD Recording with a future presentation of the album.
• Diploma

Second prize:

• MXN 15,000 (Fifteen thousand Mexican pesos)
• Diploma

Third prize:

• MXN 5,000 (Five thousand Mexican pesos)
• Diploma

Stages of participation

The competition will be held online, by video recordings, in three stages. All stages of the competitions will be with a free choice program with the following durations:

• First round: 10 to 12 minutes 
• Semifinal round: 12 to 14 minutes 
• Final round: 16 to 20 minutes

• Once done, you will receive an email from the contest coordinator, Heriberto Soberanes Lugo, giving you exact instructions for your participation.
• The jury of the XIV Culiacán 2022 International Guitar Competition will be made up of at least three musicians with extensive professional careers and recognized moral standing, of which at least two will be internationally renowned guitarists, and at least one of them will be a member of Fundación Cultural de la Guitarra AC.
• All stages of the competition will be public and may be recorded on video and audio, and broadcast by radio, television, video or any other means, without it causing any remuneration to the contestants.
• The invitation to participate in the next edition, performing as a soloist with the Sinaloa Symphony Orchestra of the Arts, includes a cache of MXN $ 10,000 (ten thousand Mexican pesos).
• The recording of the CD and its presentation in a future edition of the festival will be arranged for whenever the winner and the producer agree.
• All contestants will receive proof of their participation in the competition.
• The application for registration implies knowing and accepting the rules of the competition. 

Aspects not foreseen in this call will be subject to the criteria of the organizing committee.

The official languages for information and questions will be Spanish and English.
